The digital design and UX design of the app focuses on functionality
Like the hybrid app for IOS and Android, the desktop app also communicates the Weleda brand clearly and functionally.
The focus of the app development was clearly the UX design. The color and design language support the Weleda brand and identity and are derived coherently from their corporate design.
The users of the mobile apps praise the simplicity and clarity of the UX, as well as the behavior and speed of the hybrid app. This user experience will be continued on the desktop, while the larger screen format should further increase the clarity of the desktop applications.

The underlying digital concept enabled an extremely cost-effective transformation of the mobile app. Anchoring technological sustainability in the digital concept was particularly important, as this meant that the desktop version could be integrated into the app structure without having to program a separate application.

Software development with the Java script framework VueJS
The VueJS framework used for the development of the "Weleda Arzneimittelverzeichnis" was used for this application as it is faster in terms of performance than the JavaScript program library "React". This is because the VueJS JavaScript framework is very compact, allowing web apps to process complex data faster. This means that it also runs smoothly on mobile devices, saving ong long loading times. It was precisely this characteristic of VueJS that was decisive for the selection of this framework for the apps. VueJS is also very compatible with other modern applications. This framework can therefore create applications with existing components much better and integrate them more easily.
Strategic objectives, app development and UX design intertwine
A resilient and future-proof digital strategy was already developed during the development of the hybrid apps for iOS and Android. The digital agency FUF's principle of technological sustainability was effective. The hybrid app for Android and iOS could easily be supplemented with an additional desktop version.
However, as with the development of the two mobile apps, this project was also about ecological sustainability. After all, the mobile apps and the desktop app are increasingly replacing the previous print version of the pharmaceutical directory.
