When architects and urban planners meet the web architects from FUF, no stone is left unturned: Everything is rebuilt - and better. This is also the case with the website relaunch of www.arp-stuttgart.de based on TYPO3, ten years after the first collaboration between ARP and the internet agency Frank und Freunde. ARP's requirements are, typically for architects, clearly focused and quickly outlined. The TYPO3 content management system (CMS) has proven its worth and should continue to be used. In addition, the projects are to be recorded in a database - in accordance with the Minimax principle: minimum effort for maximum results. The website is rounded off with a new and contemporary design.

Form follows function

Thanks to our many years of architectural expertise, we know which design architects often prefer. It must be unobtrusive and fulfill a meaningful function in all aspects - or as one of the most important design principles among architects still says: form follows function. So the first thing you see on the new site is the work of the ARP architects: Residential parks, company premises, day-care centers, town halls, corporate headquarters and community centers. These projects are impressively presented with many pictures and described with only the most necessary text. Similar projects can be displayed with one click, so that the entire portfolio gradually becomes accessible to the user. Behind this feature is a very special TYPO3 extension: an Extbase-based database that we have customized to ARP's needs.

Lean and intelligent solution with high expansion potential

As an experienced web agency, we didn't stop at the project database, because we also customized the content management system in the background for ARP: The database is quickly maintained so that new pages and projects can be easily created and further functions can be added in the future, thanks to TYPO3 extensions. And other features that we haven't even thought of yet can be implemented quickly thanks to the open system architecture. Last but not least, the new site is state of the art thanks to mobile optimization and responsive web design. And media use, increasingly with mobile devices, is also taken into account.

Our Conclusion

Master builders - some build with steel, glass and concrete. The other with bits, bytes and pixels. Both want their work to be visible to many people, to be used by them and to inspire them. The new website for ArchitektenPartnerschaft Stuttgart does just that. And we are delighted that, as an experienced TYPO3 agency, we have succeeded in creating a lean and intelligent individual development with great potential for expansion.
