Impressed by the speed of digital transformation as well as by current world events, it read: "Due to the very eventful year 2016, we have decided to make a donation this Christmas. We have chosen the Stuttgart-based Stay Foundation, whose motto "Entrepreneurs for Entrepreneurs" and commitment to equal help seems very right to us."
As part of our Christmas present for the 'Stay - Development that Stays' foundation, we at the internet agency Frank und Freunde took on the implementation of their website relaunch.
Stay herself says about her work: "We support social entrepreneurs in Africa. Because what matters is not what we do, but what the local people do themselves. We connect these doers in networks. Together, they change their countries from the inside." This has already led to the realization of several major projects, such as a network of social enterprises in Uganda and Kenya.
As a foundation, it is always difficult to find qualified volunteer support for such important projects, which is why the preparations for the relaunch took some time. But since July, the website has been shining with a new look and massively improved usability. The website has also been technically updated and is now responsive. The website has switched from the Wordpress content management system to Drupal 7. This offers many advantages. As many volunteers are active at Stay, content must be entered quickly and decentrally. Drupal is ideal for this due to the comprehensibility and intuitive operation of its backend. This means that time-consuming training measures are not necessary.
Thanks to Drupal's rights management, the existing design remains protected at all times. With the extensive range of functions of the Drupal enterprise content management system, the website is already equipped for future requirements. Changes to the structure or the integration of individual elements can also be easily implemented.
We are happy to have supported the team's vision with our help and wish Stay continued success with their great projects.
